People's Health & Economic Development - Uganda
PHEALED is our primary implementing partner. Operating in Uganda since 2015, PHEALED is a Ugandan-led organization delivering essential healthcare to rural communities in the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains in western Uganda.

Together, we are strengthening frontline health systems by empowering community health workers and expanding access to life-saving services where they are needed most.​​
Direct Relief
Direct Relief has been providing us with medications to support patients with hypertension in PHEALED's free hypertension clinic. This clinic has steadily grown and is now serving over 1,500 patients in the Kasese District of western Uganda.
Rwenzori Mountain Services

Chaffee County Search & Rescue
The Rwenzori Mountain Range in western Uganda is home to 5 of the 10 highest peaks in Africa. The Rwenzori Mountain Services (RMS) coordinates and leads guided treks through this range for visitors.
This tourism is a significant source of income for many living in the area who serve as porters, chefs, and guides. Though very experienced and skilled, the staff are often ill-equipped, including the guides who use plastic bags as over mitts as they summit peaks over 5,000 meters. As impressive as this is, we partnered with RMS and the Chaffee County Search and Rescue team in Colorado, USA, who has donated gear to better outfit the RMS crew. We hope to continue coordinating donations for RMS and thereby support the livelihoods of many living in this region.
